Outcome for Logistic Regression

For logistic regression, the outcome variable is generally a dichotomous yes or no variable, also called a binary variable, with a value of 1 indicating presence of the outcome and a value of 0 indicating absence.

For ordinal logistic regression, variables with more than two different possible values can be used.
